The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes: Movie Tie-In Edition by Suzanne Collins
The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes by Suzanne Collins returns to Panem decades before Katniss Everdeen's story in this movie tie-in edition of the bestselling Hunger Games prequel.
Eighteen-year-old Coriolanus Snow sees the tenth annual Hunger Games as his opportunity to restore his family's fading status. But his chances appear slim when he is assigned to mentor Lucy Gray Baird, the female tribute from District 12.
As mentor and tribute become increasingly connected, Coriolanus must choose between ambition, rules, survival and the feelings he develops for Lucy Gray. Every decision brings him closer to the person he will eventually become.
Dark, gripping and filled with political intrigue, competition and moral conflict, this prequel explores the early history of the Hunger Games and the origins of one of Panem's most important characters.
